Scope the event
City, venue, dates, shifts, roles, number of workers, credentials, and client-required screening become one accepted scope.
Who we are
Event organizers should not need a new staffing vendor, contract, and process every time the city changes. TempGuru coordinates accepted orders through contracted local partner agencies in the United States and Canada. Our software organizes the order. Our team coordinates the work.
Quick answer
TempGuru is an event staffing company with a software platform. We coordinate accepted orders between event organizers and contracted local partner agencies in the United States and Canada. The platform records the scope, schedule communication, time records, and billing. Our team manages client contracting, agency assignment, order communication, and replacement coordination. For US orders, the assigned partner agency employs and pays the workers it supplies as W-2 employees. For Canadian orders, workers are employed locally by the assigned partner agency under applicable Canadian employment and payroll rules. Availability is confirmed for each order.

Megan started her first staffing agency at 24 and built it by working venue floors, including Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies events.
Megan's staffing-industry career began in 2012. Her experience across venue operations and agency work shaped TempGuru's documented partner-agency model.
Built TempGuru to fix it. Not disrupt it. Not reimagine it. Fix it.
For US orders, the assigned partner agency employs and pays the W-2 crew and carries insurance applicable to its employees and the accepted order. Written responsibilities reduce uncertainty; they do not eliminate legal or operating risk.
The software organizes accepted orders. TempGuru coordinates the client, local partner agency, schedule, billing, and replacement process.
TempGuru coordinates through contracted local partner agencies in the United States and Canada, with location availability confirmed for each order. A vetted partner agency regularly handles event staffing, has an active TempGuru contract that includes service-level commitments, and agrees to work in TempGuru's software. City, role, date, and local capacity must still be confirmed for each order.
Clients use one TempGuru contract. Rates and availability remain city- and order-specific, and invoicing is consolidated as one invoice per city per week.
For US orders, workers are employed and paid as W-2 employees by the assigned vetted local partner agency. That agency carries insurance applicable to its employees and the accepted order. Classification conclusions depend on the facts and applicable law.
TempGuru manages order communication and replacement coordination through the contact path in the accepted order. A named, dedicated, or onsite coordinator is not promised unless the written scope includes one.
For US orders, the assigned agency handles payroll, withholding, employment records, and insurance applicable to its employees and the accepted order. TempGuru owns client contracting and billing, partner agency contracting and assignment, order communication, scheduling coordination, and replacement coordination. No structure is a universal compliance or zero-risk conclusion.
